As a recruiter, you’re often balancing priorities that seem to be at odds with each other – how do you move candidates through your pipeline efficiently while still ensuring a consistent and inclusive process that brings in qualified talent?

This summer, Greenhouse is releasing several tools that will help you optimize every step of your application review process. Our goal? To help you find the best talent for your teams faster than ever.

Let’s explore some of the tools that will help you save time during the application process, all while making inclusive hiring decisions.

Mitigate bias from the beginning with AI

During the resume review process – one that’s typically done at high volume and high speed – it’s easy for unconscious bias to creep in. Resume anonymization uses AI to redact personally identifiable information, such as first and last name, gender and candidate photo, during the hiring process, where interviewers may inadvertently apply different standards when comparing underrepresented group members. At Greenhouse, we’re committed to providing solutions that address unconscious bias at every stage of the hiring process. With this new inclusion tool, we’re ensuring mental shortcuts and assumptions don’t interfere with your chances of hiring a great candidate.

Reduce redundant applications

Every minute counts when you’re dealing with hundreds (or thousands) of applications for every open role. Application limits allow you to block repeat applications from candidates. You’ll be able to streamline the application review process and have more control over how often candidates can submit applications while preventing bots from spamming and ensuring real candidates aren’t limited from applying. As a result, you can move the right candidates through the process faster and focus on other, more impactful tasks.

Smart searches help you uncover better talent

Narrow down your search and easily find the best candidates in your pipeline with suggested keywords, skills and advanced filters. Greenhouse’s talent filtering makes it easier to narrow down candidates in a transparent, explainable and compliant way using objective information, like suggested keywords based on the public job description. This allows recruiters, not a black box algorithm with the potential to inject its own bias, to more readily make hiring decisions with transparency on how decisions were made. Our solution is data-driven, transparent, safe and leaves decisions in the hands of humans. Current Greenhouse customers can sign up to get early access to this feature directly in Greenhouse Recruiting.
